X-Fusion – Vast Abysm (Limited Edition)
X-Fusion makes the kind of music that I imagine Cenobites would dance to. Orchestral synths mimic a chamber ensemble of the damned, the beats are relentless, and distorted vocals sound like they come from one of Hell’s own. Additionally, I’m sure that song titles like “Flesh and Bones” and “Bloody Revenge” would appeal to Leviathan’s soldiers. On Vast Abysm, X-Fusion takes the basic blueprint set down by classic aggrotech albums such as :wumpscut:’s Embyrodead, but manages to keep their songwriting fresh as opposed to formulaic. In a sense, X-Fusion has out-wumpscuted :wumpscut: on this release. The production is crystal clear, the sounds intense, innovative, and complex, and the aggressive songwriting is perfectly suited for making industrial club-goers stomp their boots while looking very, very mean. Vast Abysmhas instant classic written all over it. And the limited edition version of the album comes pakcaged in a swank metal case and comes with an extra three-inch CD of additional floor-fillers. X-Fusion has such sights to show you!
