Dead & Breakfast
Six friends on their way to a wedding in Texas pick the wrong bed & breakfast to spend the night at. Before you know it, a malevolent Thai spirit is unleashed and the hick residents of the town start turning into murderous sorta-zombies. While the survivors busy themselves with unraveling the origins of this threat with the aid of a mysterious stranger and the town’s obstinate sheriff, a Greek Chorus is the form of a country band keeps you informed of the plot so far. Plenty of gore ensues. Often mistakenly billed as “America’s answer to Shaun of the Dead“, Dead & Breakfast plays it strictly for cheese; trust me, you’ll be able to guess the one-liners before they even happen. This is a movie with modest goals, and it meets them with moderate success.
