Rockabilly group Guitar Wolf (Japan’s answer to The Ramones) stars in this slice of cheesy fun. Mixing rock’n'roll, UFOs, zombies and young punks in love, Wild Zero follows in the footsteps of mindless fun flicks like Rock and Roll High School and KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park. I won’t even bother describing the minimal plot; it’s mainly an exercise in off-the-wall action and bad acting. Love the flamethrowing motorcycle exhaust pipes and microphones. Every band needs a movie to make them into ass-kicking superheroes. (The Spice Girls excepted.)
