When a professional party-crasher drops the wrong name to get into a swank nighttime event he soon finds himself employed by a mysterious club owner to track down the man whose name he tried to cash in on. Unfortunately, his nocturnal prey (who may, or may not be, a vampire) is elusive and the only real lead he has is the man’s sister, who is equal parts beauty and beast. As a film, Love Bites does a good job of mixing the grit and glamor of Paris, as well as mixing black comedy with a plot that keeps you guessing. Unfortunately, one of the reason that the plot keeps you guessing is that it sometimes feels like necessary exposition scenes were cut during the editing process. Even so, the movie is carried to a satisfying end by its charm and style.
