Bigfoot, a comic book collaboration between Steve Niles, Rob Zombie, and Richard Corben, read likes a really extreme episode of In Search Of. Not only does this four issue series reveal the truth of Bigfoot’s existence, it also portrays him as a bloodthirsty man-eater: limbs are ripped off, people are bludgeoned to death, and women are carried off ala King Kong. This isn’t a particularly deep or thought-provoking comic; it’s a psychotronic journey into gore, violence, and revenge. All you need is a pumping soundtrack and it’s grindhouse a-go-go as you flip the pages.
