The Terminal
When this Speilberg- Hanks production rolled through theatres, I was quite uninterested. But I happened to see it on my large-screen the other day, and although I wasn’t disappointed I didn’t see it on the big screen, I am disappointed I did not see it sooner. This was a very good movie. Tom Hanks cements his status as one of the finest actors working today (channeling his Sabra Price is Right persona but not for laughs), never once is he unbelievable as an immigrant from a fictitious European country. Catherine Zeta-Jones also cements her status as one of the most beuatiful women in the world. Kumar Pallana, Pagoda from The Royal Tenenbaums, was enjoyable with a significant supporting role. Speilberg did not end the film with Nazis, as he is prone to do. The Terminal truly rises above the humble description and this is a film more people should see.
