Pauly Shore is Dead
An amusing, self-deprecating directorial debut written and starring the Wiez himself. Pauly gets a long list of stars to cameo in this tale of his demise and subsequent re-emergance as a popular culture icon. If he were to die, would he be revered ala Kinison and Belushi (John, not Jim)? Pauly does a good job of being honest poking fun at himself, yet it is also obvious he has friends in the business, and anyone who isn’t afraid to give Gerardo “Rico Suave” a part as himself (complete with wig) can’t be all bad. Akin to Dickie Roberts but more heartfelt, Pauly keeps the clock ticking past 15:00 and it might be said that maybe he does actually have some talent.
