The Station Agent
Peter Dinklage, so memorable in his brief screen time in Elf stars in this film about loneliness, being alone, prejudice, and discrimination. What could have easily devolved into a schmaltzy film with a message, instead challenges the viewer to not only look at the very real issues of discrimination still in our society, but even deeper about how the nature of people can change (here demonstrated by the circular evolution of the three main characters from caretaker to outcast to broken-hearted.)
