Set in a bleak, dusty, Brazil-like environment, this dark animated short film tells a tale of longing and love. The characters, style and mood of JoJo owe a lot to Wings of Desire, David Lynch and Tim Burton, but the world created is fully realized. I have to shave some points off for the DVD being pretty skimpy (only 13 minutes, and no extras)…I wish they included Marc Craste’s other excellent shorts, set in the same little unvierse.
